Echo 2511 oil cap over tightening

I've had various saws over the years that have had the self tightening oil cap phenomenon. Think it's to do with the perfect storm of vibration, suction and heating that takes place so close to the crankcase. Husky 346s I've owned seem particularly prone to self tightening the oil cap to plastic stripping levels of torque within minutes of finger tightening...

I have an Echo 361 and 2, 390's(well, one's been stolen, but that's another story), all with a lot of miles on them. Never had them tightened so much a quick turn of a spanner or the handle hasn't got them opened easily, and they usually undo by hand. The o-rings on the Echo's are quite thick and do not need to be tightened down much at all. Just snug them by hand.

I found the 346 did that , particularly the pre 50cc version . I thgink its were the oil tank has a strong vacuum after its run .  I am right handed but always found that if I used my left hand I could undo it ok . Don't know why that is but hey...
