When i first had my landrover someone had put there car in the ditch down the lane by my house. He was obviolsy drunk at the time becasue he was fast asleep at the wheel in the morning when i found him there.

 

I thought he was dead at first, anyway i told him it would cost him 20quid and i warned him that id proberly rip his bumper off, he was ok with that. So i made sure i ripped the bumper off

Yeah I know mate and I can see where you are coming from. Would be a real good way to piss off the bible thumping 'creationists' over here though............and believe me, there's loads of them. Plus the fact, putting an Englishman on a US currency bill/note would definitely raise some eye brows.....Ben Franklin and his mates kicked 'us lot' out.......with the help of the Frogs of course. hmmm you guys should get tommer it to tow people out , i have heard he can tow ywo artic lorries , a macsalvors crane and an ice cream truck !!!And that before he has to put his rot box into low ratio ha ha ha ha

pulled a vw polo out she didnt even say thank you then on same day pulled a srinter van out which i didnt think my m reg hilux would do he shook my hand and said thank you didnt get any money from either of them tight bastards

i have read most these posts and am interested in how many people are actually invalidating their own policies by pulling people out, i know most of mine have not covered the vehicles for recovery purposes therefore if your towing someone out a ditch back onto a road, you are driving without insurance, and if you damage your own vehicle the insurance co wouldnt have to pay for any repairs

 

bet there are recovery forums bitching like hell about 4x4 owners under cutting them on their jobs and doing shoddy jobs and causing more damage to the cars sound familiar

If a freinds car needed towing home and you had a licance after 97 say, would you be allowed to tow or not as the car ways over 750kg?

Yep you can as it comes under different rules. Don't ask me which though, I looked into it ages ago.

Yep, it's not towing as such - it's a recovery to the nearest safe place (or something like that) and as long as it's not for hire or reward
