What are the Airstreams like with spikes on and are they waterproof?

I bought a pair of Haix Protector Light, think that's what they're called, and they are awful with spikes as the sole is too soft. Apart from that they are fabulously comfy and superb climbers boots. Sadly they are not waterproof at all.

Airstreams are great with spikes on. Still remain nice and stiff. As for waterproof? 3 years old and still don't let in a drop.

Another big Airstream fan here. Rich convinced me to give them a go, and they have been awesome.

Sole is just starting to peel away at the front, so I'll try and get them glued at the cobblers.

Damn good boots.

After reading this thread and needing new boots, I took the plunge and bought some airstreams. All I can say is these boots are great and I haven't even broken them in yet!

The wood walker are good Jon. When I was getting my airstreams resoled I bought a pair and have been happy with them. A few little differences, the airstreams are definitely slightly better made/stronger, I got the same size but the wood walker feels a little bigger and the Airstreams are loads colder, my feet freeze in them but don't get at all cold in the others.

I got mine done at the local cobblers for £39 and he also put on some new loops for that too.
