Considering how much you've taken off I'd say that looks pretty well spot on. And if the guy asked you to reduce it as much as possible and he's complaining about that then he'd probably have complained no matter what you did. Nice job I reckon.

Thats the top and bottom of . You can't wion . Been there .

Just read the whole thread from start to finish.

It's funny how over time and the course of this thread, peoples online personalities and little quips have changed and morphed. People come and go, trees get reduced and live, life just happens:biggrin:

Keep up the good work... EVERYBODY:thumbup:

IMO too much has been taken off but if it was done at the client's request, so be it.

Did you get the client to sign off his 'own work spec' prior to you starting?

I have done this for awkward clients and I made sure to specify exact branch length to be removed.

I back it all up with multiple photos and the groundie shows the client the first few branches when they come down and make him agree before I proceed.

Also, how did you reach the top of the tree from the ladder? Easy Lift Harness I assume.

I see lots of yellow snow, I think you should have peed in the bushes!

:laugh1:

That was a bloody long thread, can't believe it took you two years for an after shot, looks much better now than the original tree before pruning, ya might have to get back up there!

Patience comes with age, much YOU have appeared to have gained since the 1st post... Where as I am youthful and have less of a concept of it :P

As for tree time, nobody has the mentality or conception to fathom this properly, only by looking at what is already done can we get a rough idea of what we aim for

I wasnt digging you out fella, just replying to the comment of it being a long time coming for a re shoot of the beech, 2 years is a good time dont you think?

I have worked VERY hard to understand tree time, and so have many others, it isn't an easy thing to study and get to grips with, you have to see special trees in special sites to get a true understanding. You can take it as a given that I have a better understanding of tree time than most!:001_rolleyes:
