Where did you read/hear about CE marking and date for it? Pleased to hear they're investing in us Euros

The fact it is midline attachable is a bonus, no bits to drop.

how does it compare to the bulldog bone? ( am i right in thinking you had one of these?)

I really like the Bdb.  The RRP is different, equally good, a bit more refined.  
 

The bdb is simple and bombproof.  Mine is very worn now so doesn’t handle thinner ropes.  I still use it on an older piece of tachyon when I am doing sappy trees like pine and spruce.
