Hi so at the Estate I look after the boss has baught a new saw a Husky 445 nice saw except it keeps throwing the chain off, even like the second time I used it, I did notice the bar has a tiny bend in it if its on the bench flat you can just notice it but after all these years working with saws I don't think it's this that's causing the trouble as always keen to hear your thoughts

Thanks Mark

You did this thread already ?

Try this test for bar wear?

Chain Saw Guide Bar Maintenance

Had same issue  & also the chain cutting to one side.  Did above test and compared  it to a new bar & the  chain it lent over alot more on the older bar like in pic.

But if its all new shouldn't be that worn yet?

Has it got the tool less tensioner? My 450e has a habit of throwing chains unless you keep checking tension especially on new chains which will stretch anyway.

ya i hate those tool-less  tensioners too, i think  you can retrofit the traditional side cover. those 450E's are a great saw in my experience.
