So is my maths is right, I just missed k?

Well the k is"just" 1000 times different. Using a winch you would need to uncover each major root and sever them one at a time, then lift the dead weight out. In the days before tracked mini diggers and stump gobblers  we did it but always had  a bit of stem left to act as a lever. Complete waste of effort and time nowadays.

The tree would probably take it, set the sling right at the base. The issue is the height of the stump you’re trying to pull out. You’d typically want the stump to be 3-4 ft high so you’d get some leverage with the winch.

its not impossible. I just think by the time you have excavated enough of the stump and axes through the roots you’d probably be already there anyway

Stop spoilin his fun. Plus it needs a coat of hammerite. K

I really want you to do it, use the winch, and the slings, the whole nine yards.

Tell us how you get on.

Would you/anyone be interested in me filming it and putting it on youtube? There's not alot of information about these machines and I'd like to make tutorial video of some sort just for fun really.
