I hate conifers, hate working on them, hate the look of them. Only time they look OK is when they've been well maintained as a hedge and trimmed at least once maybe twice a year. You took alot out of those first conifers, never good to take more than 40% 50% out at once. Also the pics where the hedge is having sides cut looks like it's going to brown off in patches, looks like it's been cut too tight or is that just the pic?
