Husky 372

Just wondering if anyone has any good or bad experiences with this saw?

 

Also, in the present climate of exchange rates, would £600 inc VAT sound a good price for a 372xp with 20" bar?

i use a 372 at one of the firms i sub for. can't fault it really. plenty of power and not too heavy. not much else to say.

frjones are usually one of the cheapest and they are selling it for £600 inc vat.

Thats a good price, i use a 372 with a 15" bar and an 18" bar. great saw plenty of grunt.

I have one, run it with 24" and 16" bars, its awesome needs a few tank fulls of fuel to get to its best, and also re-set the carb after 10 tanks of fuel

 

mine runs with the 24" bar really well

 

not sure about the price Stanton Hopes website list it as £550 ex vat

I like mine but i must admit its fallen appart! cant match it on performance but You have to keep an eye on all the bolts! but i know plenty of people who have not had any probs so maybe it was just mine, done different though i would of waited for the 576..

Not used one Pete, but they keep on making them due to their popularity.

 

Husky brought out the 575, and that's been replaced with the 576, and they still keep selling the 372.

 

That's got to count for a lot.

 

Simon Bowes reviewed the 576 in octobers Forestry Journal, and the article ended talking about what a good tried and trusted saw the 372 was.

 

You like to tweak your saws too and as I understand it, the new style low emmission engines with fancy carbs can't be fiddled about and modded to the same extent.

Love the saw lots of power, nice weight and balance the bolt on the chain brake use to vibrate loose but its an old one, so don't know if they have changed it on the newer ones.

My 372 was a heap of crap from day one, loads of issues with it, husqvarna trying to get out of warranty obligations, right pita. But thanks to the perseverance of my local saw shop, finally it got sorted, and now its a demon saw, one of the best.

We only stihl's apart from the 372 which is an awesome saw!! We run a 24" bar on ours and it pulls it really well. Its also light enough to have up the tree for long periods of time.
