Hi Mc Cullogh chainsaw specialists

I have got an Old Mc Cullogh chainsaw

Alpina  0-70S

Stripping it apart to clean fuel lines

seems to be having gunk and blocked fuel system from sitting unused for many years

Which way do i turn a Flywheel to undo it?

Clockwise or anticlockwise?

Why taking off flywheel? I would put new fuel pipes on and new cheap carb from ebay and see if it runs. Less that 20 euro fr those parts. K
