It’s funny that if that was a defender in the same condition with same engine/gearbox etc it would probably be £6k or so. I think the older discos are fantastic value for money. Don’t know about the Disco 2 but certainly the 1 still has an alluminium skin bodywork just like the defender which seems to keep them tidy looking. The arches and the boot floor are the bits to watch for in terms of rust.

Other way round with Disco 2, in that rear of chassis more prone to rust, but no problems with the body/bootfloor etc.

Mine was a little gutless when I first got it, I got one of those tuning pins. Bloody hell what a difference, can’t believe just doing that has made such a difference to power- and no obvious fuel usage difference either.
