Can anyone tell me the going rate for green oak and ash cordwood (green). I have been offered 25 tons of mixed ash & oak unseasoned for £45 per ton if i buy 25 tons, this includes delivery. This is my first thread and i would like to take this opportunity to say "what a brilliant site"

I'm led to believe the FC recently sold hardwood timber in Norfolk for about 35quid/tonne standing, so that doesnt sound bad in comparison.

i really dont think anyone would pay that for standing, do you mean roadside - or is it something special like gold plated timber:001_huh:

I was pricing out a local firewood supplier, for him to buy cut to his spec and he only offered me £30 a ton delivered!. My impression was that straight coppice hardwood (mixed syc, ash, birch, alder and oak) would get more than that. Comments welcome.

As for £45 per ton delivered, sounds a bit pricey but how far has it come and how good is it in terms of size and straightness?
