USA have had  catalyst stoves for yrs but they never seem to have caught on in the UK until recently noticed a few around.

Distributor of wood burning, multi fuel, inset and free standing stoves with retailers across the UK. Featuring brands such as...

Maybe will become more common due to eviro regs /concerns in future?

What is a Catalyst in this context? The Burley stoves have a mesh above the flames which are supposed catch soot and burn in it off

As you say that stainless half baffle is the soot trap .  I think stoves will soon have to meet certain regs and will perhaps have to install a cat to do so . Not ones built before the new regs of course .

Google picked up your post which brought me here! Have tried a couple of other leads but no joy. Have been in touch direct with them but they dont have a distributor over here.

Have you bought Oekosolve kit pre brexit and who did you buy from?

Came across them whilst on holiday in Austria over a decade ago as the PM emissions rules where very strict in Austria. Never needed them on my UK stove as its Defra approved. I am sure they used to have a dealer in Devon but cannot see anything now. Sounds like a good excuse to go and visit the factory in Switzerland.
