Could I give a guarantee.??

Been asked many times to spray knotweed but could I give a guarantee on the treatment for a mortgage purpose I have all my spraying tickets hope this makes sense

Guarantee against further Knotweed infestation!  Now that is thought provoking, it sounds simple enough but I can see why some would be reluctant. Just some ramblings below, please add.

Affected areas to be guaranteed would have to be clearly mapped.

I suppose it would have to include a maintenance contract for years to come.

Affected/treated areas cordoned and fenced off with a ban on excavations or landscaping activities.

Product indemnities, perhaps insurances for third party products.

Isn't standard practice to offer a three year program, inject, inject, spray, to virtually eradicate, then it's up to the owner to maintain?

you can probably guarantee it will come back! but i guess thats not what they are after

I’d stay well away from knotweed if I were you. Specialist companies charge thousands to grantee it won’t come back and they do it by digging it out. We did a clearance job last year and the firm that had us in got a separate company to come in and get rig of the knotweed issue. The prices they charged were eye watering £10,000 plus and they still had to come back 3 times as until it was gone completely. They dug down about 3 meters and took all the contaminated soil away, must have been 50 odd tones of the stuff.
