Rocking Horse.

Seen a nice Rocking Horse someone made on here and thought I’d try and make one for my wee one.

It’s made out of the first tree I Milled, a Beech. And an oak I milled too.

The dowels are Walnut.IMG_5834.jpgIMG_5842.jpgIMG_5841.jpgIMG_5839.jpg

If I make another I’ll deffo invest in a spindle sander. [emoji16]

I need to cut off the raised part of the Saddle as it digs into her bum. Then oil the horse part.

Outstanding. That looks great.
And here I am screwing rounds and cookies together to make shitty looking rabbits. Something to aspire to, at least!

Thank you. :)

It’s not that difficult to do really, just need the right tools and a bunch of time.

The band on my band-saw snapped so I bought a nice DeWalt cordless Jigsaw to cut the templates out. Most of the bits came out great, but a couple not so great which resulted in hours of sanding. :( would have been better waiting for the new bands to arrive. ? live and learn.

A trim router really helped. And needed to buy a bunch more clamps, plus the dowels.

Infact it might have been cheaper just to buy one. [emoji23]
