Silky sharpening.

Had a go at sharpening my old silky with the dremel. It actually worked ok, not as sharp as a new blade but ok.

Did you take down the top triangles or go in between the teeth?

I just sharpened the tips, I do the same on the silky saw head but you can use a file on it as the metal is not hardened.

Be careful not to overwork those Dremel tools.

I burnt out the motors on two of them and was later told by them that they couldn’t be repaired 

In my experience I don’t think they are designed for any heavy duty sharpening

Literally took 5 mins to do once i was set up. It's just a light touch with the grinding wheel on the tip of the tooth.

Get a sheet of wet and dry taped to a flat surface and rub the sides of the saw flat to sharpen the majority of the tooth profile.

Nice one love to see stuff being sharpened and re-used and not just chucked out and replaced. Good job sir !

I bought a diamond file and sharpened my last silky blade when it was blunt, it improved but not back to original.

I just thought I use it so much better to buy new again, it easily earns it's money back.
