Much work for a new groundie?

Recommended Posts

OK, so I'm not super fit, but I've worked on chainsaws mechanically since leaving school *^^%£$£ years ago. I have CS30, and wondering if there is much work around for a groundie in the north west before I spend more on getting CS31 and wind blown etc? Not looking to get rich, looking for a career change into something more interesting. I want to be part of the movement to plant millions of trees and maintain/make safe the ones we have. Also like the idea of getting into Forestry but understand the opportunities are limited in the north west.

All comments good and honest will be appreciated.

All these 30 million trees aren't really going to get planted in reality though?

No infos on how it would actually work with regards to making private landowners plant all theese new woodlands etc.

Of the two farmers locally that I know, one plants thousands of trees every year and wants to plant more. The other is planning to plant his entire 150 acres up with trees.

There may be a better uptake than you think.
