Yeah as Doobin says- they all seem to have different deals on at different times so it pays to look around regardless of their stereotypes.

Are you suggesting Drills are also better for driving screws too doobin? I can see your sustained torque logic when the drill has a really positive connection like a hex head- but can never seem to get drills to stop slipping in a pozidrive head  for example.

Drills are generally faster but an impact driver uses impact to prevent cam out as I mentioned earlier. So best tool for the job there. Also tend to be much more compact.

In your professional expert opinion who should we buy from?

Wherever you like, it pays to shop about. I've got loads of batteries, I just buy bare units of tinterweb.
A2 fixings either I buy in bulk off a national supplier or just nip to my local guy for a small box.
Depends what you need.
TP used to try and fiddle my invoices,
Wickes is like b and q with prices to match.
At screwfix if you compare the prices of the pro tool range(not the domestic crap)
to pro tool shops, it's a big difference in price. Screwfix is full of cheeeeeeap stuff, that's why it's so popular.

Hey now, dont knock middle of lidl, that's where I buy all the power tools for my girlfriend. She hasn't had to return one yet!

That’s just as well, I hear most stores have hygiene rules against returning ‘female power tools’...
