Having had a 390 and a 291, I wouldn't even think about it- unless a few plunge cuts reveal its only solid round the outside, in which case your current bar will do, so crack on!

If it were a Husqvarna 390 then it would piss it ! :D

We went to this job this afternoon and the big 15ft 2Ton ish oak lump only fell the wrong way !

It was bit challenging as some of the wood was rotted and some not and with a rabbit nest going underneath it .it seemed to be very top heavy and even pulling with a discovery it wasn’t budging much it went a bit but not enough  .then made the mistake of cutting out possibly too much wood and it then went backwards into next doors fence and driveway so having to go back tomorrow to finish off

.very lucky There wasn’t a car parked on the drive next door as would have definitely been a write off.i think we had the right idea but needed more pulling power .lesson learnt anyway walk away next time when people give you these sorts of jobs

Dont think a Discovery is much of a substitute for a winch either
