He runs a glamping/yurt holiday business alongside his tree surgery.

Wonder how he justifies bringing yurts 1000 of miles from Mongolia to the Lake District when he has the option to use sustainable, locally sourced materials instead.

.

I’m no fan of this ExRe. Far from it.

However, the lazy old argument about anyone who is involved in this sort of thing is a hypocrite, because of something they did, like import yurts, take a flight, wear leather shoes etc.   somehow invalidates their protest, is ridiculous.

Do as I say not as I do eh Mick.

He imported Yurts from Mongolia when he could’ve used local materials from local businesses. He is the epitome of a hypocrite who does not practice what he preaches.

His stunt was pure cringe which will be forgotten by the end of today’s news cycle.

Highlighting the left’s blind spot on hypocrisy is the only positive aspect of the Extinction Rebellion protests.

You cannot possibly go through life without doing something that could be perceived as destroying the planet, if you look hard enough.

Even if he’d made them locally, people like you would find something to use as a stick to beat them with, gas stoves, freezers, car parks, nylon underwear.
