If you get as much advice from people as you can and then buy one from us. If its not as you thought it would be we would take it back with no charge, all it would cost you is the postage to and fro.

We only do this for stock items.

I was a little disappointed with the tree austria 2 over the 1, i'd wait for the tree austria 3. Although i've only climbed on those harnesses for a few weeks which is not long enough to form a proper opinion.

 

I quite like the look of the new dragonfly/butterfly, these are well made and durable harness imo.

 

Not that I like well made or durable, I climb on a treemagic these days, (who wants a harness to last them forever?)

The Tree Austria 3 will not be on the Market for a quite a while so don't get hung up on waiting for it.

never tried the TA1 but love the duo. been swingin with it for about 10 months now.

I had a komet B2 before that and loved that too, in fact the only harness I instantly didnt like was the williams. yuck. It weighed as much as me.

As this is not an approved componant or tested, I wondered if this theoretical rope bridge set up would be LOLER comlpliant or not.

Couldn't get any info from the spec sheet that came with it or from the web address for Haberkorn.

What the SWL on the accesory cord you are using for the bridge? If it isn't making 22KN you might be on a non starter regarding LOLER. This cord was only CE'd for limited uses and this information isn't usually handed out at point of sale, might be an idea to check manufacturers guide to use.

 

Nice idea though, I like the set up. Do's it move all the weight distribution to your lower back?

Thanks for the reply Nick, haven't as yet managed to get the info on the SWL of the cord, still trying (Jonesie; get off the phone ! :wave:)

are the front two side D's appropriate for this bridge position?

Yes 16.2 KN and attached to seperate places probably isn't going to meet LOLER requirements.

 

The new Yale Silver Streak is coming in at 2KN so is stronger stuff but still a little short of the magic 22KN required for use in this scenario.

If the MBL is 16.2, the SWL should be significantly higher.

 

10mm static would be my choice, that black liros hercules stuff should fit the bill. (Subject to a satisfactory SWL of course)
