Milling endgrain

So now I have my new (to me) woodland mill I am thinking table tops so have any of you milled end grain so interested of laying the log down stand it up and cut rings ,is this something that can be done will it hurt the mill ,I have seen only one vid of this being done and that was on a truly massive mill in the US somewhere.

Will cut it no problem and no damage to the saw at all,I have milled loads like that.

Yeah no probs Mark seen a guy cut loads on his 130. I cut all mine with the Alaskan and Farmers mill. love to have the HM 126 one day but storage is my problem. Let us know how you get on.

Another interesting technique I seen in a youtube vid was to cant the log over at around 45 degree's and slab the log up, that way you have a 360 wrap of bark/wany edge on the log.
