need an update on how difficult railtrack are to work with.

just been to a regular customers fathers, to look at a Job, surprisingly the council has given permission for a hefty 20% reduction, not really a problem, however the trees are on top of a tall retaining wall next to the tracks, some of the branches extend right across one set of lines. the trains run at every 20-30 minutes.

what are going to be some of the requirements from RT?

I tried to deal with network rail over a tree over the tracks they never replied to emails or phone messages. Gave up in the end. The client and I felt we had tried our best to deal with the tree and NR would be liable. I avoid those jobs now, total pita, possible fines for delaying trains are astronomical. Think carefully about it and charge accordingly!

I have dealt with them in the past, either by contacting asset protection or the online live chat has proven useful to.  so areas seem quicker then other, costs can be high to, the last job we had a guy onsite and it was just over £2500.

good luck
