The end is nigh... 880

Had a conversation with my stihl mechanic mate yesterday.

Wasn't good.

The 880 is no longer in production/we've stopped selling them in Europe.

When the uk stock finishes, that's it.

No more 120cc saws.

Apparently there's 87 in stock in the uk.

I've heard nothing about a replacement.

And I have no reason to doubt what I've been told.

Does anyone else know of a 120cc chainsaw manufacturer who deals with the uk?

so is it best to sell the 880 now or will they go up in value?
i suppose it depends if you'll still be able to get spares

Spoke to stihl uk. They reassure me the spares for the 880 will be available for at least the next ten years, probably longer.

Hopefully longer. Those saws go on and on...for arborists anyway, I expect millers get through them a bit quicker

I was pleasantly surprised recently to find a new OEM husky cylinder and piston kit for a 3120 only 150quid from dealer, so no complaints as long as they keep this up.

Hope Stihl don't do what they did to the 084, limiting what spares are available
