In an effort to bring their process for applying for felling licences into the 21st century, the Commission seems to have moved to an online format, with the option of having the paper form emailed to you to fill in manually and return to them.

I'm a bit of a technological Luddite when it comes to this sort of thing and despite my best efforts, want to kill the computer after 30 minutes of trying to do the online forms. It's asking for obscure file types, asking me to select compartments on maps that don't exist and is generally not user-friendly.

Has anyone else had the displeasure of completing one of these awful online forms yet?

Big j it's not to bad the second time round, the first application I did took me most of an afternoon to sort out (online) then the second online one I did about an hour. Still feel that the paper version is better.

Try the 'quick online felling application guide' to help... The full length help guide will just fry your brain.

I need a child free, distraction free afternoon and I might crack it. I just liked the simplicity of the paper version. Thanks for the input though :D

A number of years ago i was having similar printer related issues so i calmly and deliberately unplugged it, brought it out into the yard and set fire to it.

it hasn't given me a moments trouble since.

I got rid of my smart phone last month, never been happier. ?

When the ink runs out on mine I just get a new printer . Its actually cheaper than buying new ink .

ml:ml printer ink is more expensive than vintage champagne. :001_rolleyes:

I was given an slightly older printer that accepts generic cartridges. Problem solved, A black cartridge is <99p, the four coloured ones about two quid.
