Looking for a combi tool.

Evening all,

 

I've been making do with a cheap efco hedgecutter and a stiga homeowner extension hedgecutter/polesaw for two long. After replacing probably every bolt in my hedgecutter twice over I've decided to buy a combi tool.

 

Just after some feedback on whats available, obvious route is the stihl KM131, I just don't use that sort of tool enough to warrant that sort of outlay.

 

Ideally I want one tool that I can set up as a hedgecutter/long reach hedgecutter/pole saw for the odd time I'm doing garden maintenance stuff.

Could you stretch to a KM94?

Just as good as the 131 imo (I have both), but without the valve-temperamental farty 4-mix engine.

Oh they are pretty reasonable, definitely.

 

You can get the hedgecutter (non extension one) attachment for them right? I'm trying to do away with having 3 engines to do the same thing one can!

Looking fr a combi tool ?? I find they are usually stuffed behind cab seat - or failing that , dropped out of yr pocket down the sofa . K

Am I missing something by saying KM56??? Most of the companies round here run three and just whizz one in for repair once in a while. Pretty reliable, sound and ........cheap

Thumbs up for km56, we ran two until a scumbag nicked one 3 weeks ago. Got a 56 and a 90  4mix and I choose the 56 every time. Hate the 4mix and will never have another!

KM56 looks good! Does it take the standard attachments for all their extension stuff?

It has the normal alloy Kombi union attachment and most of my customers use the HL135 attachment on it.

Aye the KM56 is a good shout.

I bought one as a cheap fix when my 131 shat itself, and worked it like a dog with no issues, nearly all hedgecutting.

 

It died in the end, but to get a few years out of something that isn’t rated as a pro model is pretty commendable.
