Editing invoices

Help, is there a way of getting word on and older iPad?, I've got my quotes/invoices saved but can't see how to edit them on an iPad that is a few years old and running iOS 10.3. I've tried to get the word app but it needs ios11 which my iPad isn't capable of. I've found a lady and got another lady to ring who can do my quotes/invoices for me if needs be but I'd like to be able to do it myself.

 

Please don't get all computer technical, you'll loose me in the first sentence.

Yes I can, but still can't see an option to edit things.

What type of files are they? It might be as an invoice word has saved them as pdfs of something less easily edited. Should be sortable.

I use google docs, that way its all online and I can access all my invoices from any device, no matter what operating system it uses. You can then easily download them as PDFs to send them off.

It is a PDF, I'll be fecked if I can edit it with open office or google documents.

You can't edit a pdf with either of them. You need pdf editing software, or to keep the documents as word docs on your device or shared with onedrive or similar and export them as a pdf when you've updated them.
