572 husky or 500i stihl

Hi guys/girls   

First question is for the 572 owners what do you think of it pros cons etc or should I wait till may  for the 500i ??

A brilliant saw, cant fault it, don’t know an awful lot about stihl as we stopped using them several years back due to poor performance.

The 572 is a fantastic all rounder, built well, probably the best stock saw that I have used.

Out of everyone I know who has used a 500i, rough hewn is the only person to make this statement about revs dropping, that was his experience.

If the 462 is anything to go by it will have stunning performance, It may also have the pretty poor build quality.

Yes. Drops to 10k
But it is rather torquey.
And "lightweight"

All saws obviously drop revs when cutting. 

 

To state that the saw drops to a specific rpm in timber is surely horse shit. Far too many variables involved for that comment to be taken seriously
