i think we would all like to believe it is the beast of bodmin ! but sadly id agree with jonsie after looking at that skull , :thumbup1:gota be a badger ! but hey you never know ! maybe a big cat put it there !:thumbup:

Real interesting replies chaps, presuming it is a badger now but gonna take game keeper and boss down there wednesday, they'll know if no one else does.

 

I'll also take my proper camera down there and take some better photos, the old phone camera is rather shite!! ha ha!!

 

I doubt very much its been hung there as some sort of trophy by a poacher as its hidden out of site and no one ever goes down that part of the field. The shoot doesnt extend to that part of the farm either. Although I'm not ruling out it being hung up there. Just be very surprised if it has.

looks like the field has been resown in barley, my moneys on tractorman threw the dead badger into the wood out of the way and it got stuck up in tree when harrowing the field........how it died is a job for Mrs Marple
