Was hoping to buy a 661 in the next few weeks, would it be worth waiting for the 500i to come out? Still very new but out a year in the US and getting great reviews, meant to be as light as a 441 and an absolute BEAST. what do you guys think?

If the 500i is as fragile as the 462 is said to be then no. Wait a bit see how they fair in a production cutting environment .

I don’t think it’s out anywhere, let alone the US.

Op says out a year in the US and getting great reviews . Does he have something to support this I wonder ?

A 661 will cut wood faster than a 500i.
