Day rate.

No half days and certainly no hourly rate

I offered him a half day when we initially agreed to do the job, but when I arrived on site yesterday I told him that wont be happening again. I told him it will be a day rate in the future. But I worked longer than 7.5 hours though. It was closer to 9 hours, so I charged him from when I arrived till when I was packed down.

Do you guys just take it on the chin if the job takes longer than a day? Or just pack-up when your times up? Is packing-up included in the day-rate, ie when you work 08:00-16:30 is 16:30 the time you're starting to pack down, or is it when you stop milling, then pack down in your own time?

It took me about an hour to have everything securely packed into the Jeep and the Mill secured down to the Bed, Side Winders up and secured and hitched up.

Here you go soul off another posting one of the lads put up ?

If you do not have a separate account for your sole trading activites then check out starlingbank.com , they are online only and are processing bounceback loans for sole traders starting today.

It's all self cert, no accounts have to be provided.

If you started sole trading Jan 2020 then you can use your projected turnover to get the loan.

Never get another chance for £50k free for a year then peanuts apr with no security.

Fill yer boots.

ps

in addition, if you are a startup then you can also access a separate gov loan scheme for upto £25k but slightly higher apr of 6% giving a total of £75k

Has anyone had success with the Self Employed grant?  I also tried today and had the same message as Saul, but there was no problem with my return last year, I would have thought I was eligible.

Maybe it is not live yet and rejects everyone???

If you're self-employed or a member of a partnership and have been adversely affected by coronavirus (COVID-19) find out if you can use this scheme to claim a grant.

I've filled out the preliminary form, all been approved. Apparently I get a second form on 14th May, where I give bank details, and money hits my account eight days later, fingers crossed. The more I see of it, the more I think I may apply for a Bounce Back Loan, even if I don't spend it. Even if I spend it, it will be the cheapest loan I get my hands on.
