After mucking out the chickens and ducks then an hour of leaf blowing I thought I’d have an hour to myself milling a wee log. It was firewood and only 130cm x 50cm wide but must have cost me a fiver. ? some nice clean slabstt833B2FB1-ABF5-4ECA-B1BB-07ED11969B9F.jpg came out. The other logs, well, what I can get out great, the dross I’ll just burn. IMG_4756.jpgIMG_4758.jpg

Felled this dead Oak tree for a client, they're planning to use it to build a garage/workshop. Not often you can build most of a building from one log. Today's beech tree had it all. Spalted, infused, rippled, unions and inclusions.
Maxed out the 60" panther mill several times.

Nothing exciting, just knocking out some 10x4 DF beams. Might try some LED spots on at some point as ran out of daylight sharpish today.

Attached to top of guard Andy ran off the onboard 12v system, got that pic off the inter web but something similar. Not much daylight in Aberdeenshire at the moment lol. Beams are for a split level drive and pathway set up at the lads house, they will be laid flat and  used to keep two different levels of gravel apart and be morticed out to have uprights for a fence fitted into them.
