2 strokes !! Sometimes it’s just bad luck,  that’s a mates service Honda piston that nipped up for no discernible reason. Super well maintained bike too. 

Ooh nasty.
In my case it was entirely my own lack of maintenance which killed it.
Doh.
Expensive lesson.

not worth cleaning just replace it about 40p each, mine all get one every 6 months if we are out felling regularly,

Possibly look for as large a filter as will fit in yr filler hole. But i know this is stables n bolting horses ?  K
