Does it get any better - the deep seated heat of a wood burning stove

Can't light mine today . Its 12C out side . Has to be down in single figures for me .

We light ours around 4.00 and keep it going to bed time. If Christmas is cold then it will get lit first thing, love the log burner, only small but works really well, lovely heat, nothing like it. Got around 3 years of wood out the front but it needs cutting up.....anyone have a chainsaw

First thing I'll light the bedroom one and poke my feet out the end of the bed before the boys come through, then downstairs to fall asleep with and the afternoon film

Ha ha, fair enough.  Been there a few times myself. Visitors rarely come back.

The house Im renting has 6 chimneys. We should be buying it by the Summer. Currently we use two, looking forward to breaking back into the boarded up ones. A couple in the bedrooms and what looks like a sizable one in the kitchen. Cant wait.
