..... If justice is to prevail then they’ll do her for trespass and wasting police time.

According to google:

Generally speaking, trespass to land is not a criminal offence unless some special statutory provision makes it so. Any damage done by a trespasser whiletrespassing may amount to the offence of criminal damage. ... Civil trespass is actionable in the court

Well, the fact he does dog training and agility would back up that he loves and understands dogs, and would be very unlikely to use an air rifle on one.
BTW we need licences in Scotland for ANY air rifle, and the fact you may have shotgun and FAC is irrelevant. Bloody SNP

Are you saying you need a separate ticket for an air rifle  (  sub 12 ft lbs ) even if you hold a shot gun and FAC  ticket ?  It don't make sense ....

Yes and if you take your air rifle or pistol to Scotland so will you!

Perhaps your friend threatened to shoot the dogs or the woman to get the ladies attention..  maybe she was being slovenly in reacting to the unfolding situation..

Perhaps she took him at his word to shoot the dog and called the police just in case he went through with the threat...

Whats puzzling is why the cops took your mate away..  I imagine they'd of listened to both sides of the story and let both parties leave after calm had been restored..   makes one wonder if your friend isn't giving the full story..

We've been here before Stubby, I couldn't get a shotgun license even though Ex Mrs Egg had a license and had a gun in our house.

The law is an ass.

That’s what I said at my 5 year renewal. The SNP wish to fully control every aspect of Scotland’s population. Almost like a dictatorship. The police are only too happy to restrict any aspect of gun ownership too. Scotland already has extra costs over alcohol compared to England and they’re considering sugar tax. On top of that we have differing tax rates for middle earners.

Common sense has a habit of being absent when guns are mentioned. The woman would have probably seen a way to get her own back on your mate. Now it’s gone as far as your mate being arrested she’ll know she’ll be in trouble by changing her story to reflect what actually happened [emoji1304]

OOeerrr ! . That's a strange one .  So you could have a co-terminus smooth bore ticket , FAC ticket  ( even if your FAC is a 30ft lbs Air gun )and  an " air gun " ticket ?
