You can still get them . Barbour , Belstaff etc and cheap versions .  Had plenty in my days beating ( you know , get through were you cant stuff )  Northumbria  Barbour jacket . Would not want one now as I don' fight my way through bramble .

thanks stubby if i remember right thats wot i had with the fur lining you can take out ! like a fool left it in celler went mouldy after about a year [could cry ] leant more sence re brambles lol thanks mate mate stay safe r.

I remember my Dad getting a Northumbria back in the ‘70’s.

It was the most expensive item of clothing on the planet at the time (this was before fashion was invented).

We must have had a good year!

Bloody good coat, he had it for a few decades.

 

I think the simple truth is better stuff has come along since.
