So on Sunday I head up to Scotland for 9 weeks of Christmas tree harvesting. Not a clue what to expect anybody share any tips tricks or knowledge of the job from what I gather it’ll be cutting trees and stacking them.

Hi Sam, is it contracting ?, as I wouldn't mind lining up that sort of work for next year. What type of rates etc is it if you don't mind Me asking.

There used to be a Dutch fella, (lived over here) that used to do stacks of Christmas tree felling on here but I can't for the live of me remember his name. Anyone help?

I used to do about 200 for a bloke that sold them at road side you will need a strong back knee pads and plenty of gloves waterproofs and thermals

they might net them in the fields then stack them on to the trailers the work goes on no matter what the weather   as to supply the contracts,  quite a lot of growers use tree sheers instead of saws now

Well guys back from the job sorry for the delay in getting back to you all, was a absolute pain in the ass but a experience none the less use used saws no shears and trees were netted in field and loaded into pallets. Chap I worked for was Hans danish chap. It was cold and wet even compared to wales. Would I do it again yeah why not
