I have had them suck up flints before now !

For sure, but who knows what turns up anywhere? chains are cheap(er than they used to be) surely better to just put a new file/chain in the toolbox and crack on.

Try the filing stone attachments for a dremel and maybe just use up some cheaper or old chain on it.

Yeah I came across a old shipping chain in one 2 years back and the customer said oh yeah I used to hang them on the tree years ago as a place to store them [emoji20]

Nice idea I have a dremel knocking about somewhere I’ll look for some decent filing attachments

Just buy 4 rototech chains and bin em when the jobs done.

Rototech chains are pretty cheap anyway

clean all the crap off with a small axe then use a smaller bar if you want.... 18-20" and cut from both sides.
