Bought 2 of these earlier - just had an email from Amazon saying the transaction has been cancelled and I haven’t been charged. It’s obviously a phoney listing to get people interested (it’s worked to be fair - there must have been a lot of views of this thread alone, some from people who wouldn’t previously consider looking on Amazon for a chainsaw).

I know it's not worth the effort to chase but did Amazon give a reason? As the price has dropped a number of times over the last year it doesn't appear a simple mistake and I thought the seller should honor the deal. OR are they saying the seller's accounts have been hacked?

No reason given.  It's clearly a fake offer, but I think these are legal, unfortunately.

Not all the amazon crazy prices are fake bought some bike tyres before under 50% price listed &  anywhere else & the were posted. I don't understand what the deal is with the crazy low prices though but the tyre listing was up for months.
