This is my local chandlers where I get most of my base layers etc from.  They have this one on offer which looks pretty nice

Not tried the jacket but the usual problem with sailing jackets is they dont breath as much as walking jackets. On a boat you are pretty much stationary most of the time and they are designed around this fact. Brilliantly waterproof but you get wet from the inside!

For a day of heavy endless rain, the rubbery stihl waterproof jacket is just that. The hood is a bit crap though.
After a few days of dragging mud and brash, the orange panels darken nicely.

probably not what you're looking for but after years of putting up with poorer quality semi moisture proof garbage I invested in a set of guy cotten overalls.. fishermans ones tbh. proper job, fit over the saw pants and great for those really wet days, yet somehow breathable.. yellow and red so easily spotted if on a job in really dull miserable conditions with a digger driver who has fogged up glasses! but bulky and a bit weighty.

As an aside they do a fleecetop with wp forearms and stomach patch..excellent when trimming hedges that are wet, when its not actually raining..

Aye, I’ll be the miserable looking bastard walking around really slowly, piss-wet through in a leaking, fleece-lined bright orange jacket with no hood.
