Mines 01/17 built.
No problem with the needle cage.
Once bedded in its sweet.
Pulling 18" .325 all day
It's light, and cuts very fast with full chisel.
The 241 is a domestic model and won't last for commercial use.

hi 241 is a fully blown pro saw  been using one for last 5 years as my main go to saw for thinning and general use, 14" bar on it and all ways seemed to be a gutsy little saw, bought it new in march 2013 when i got a 2 year job felling to waste infected larch  on some steep banks and just wanted a saw i could use all day with little effort and when looking through the brochers the 241 seemed to catch my eye been very little trouble at all and it has had some use, but yesterday while in the hands of a subbie it gave up the ghost dont know whats up with it yet but will find out this week when i get a spar hour,

I've always liked stihl for most saws, but every 261 I've used has felt bulky, numb and slow.

If I was in the market for a 50cc saw I'd be looking at the 550.

Just checked the catalogue,
My error, it IS a pro saw.

Joe
I think the same about the 550&560.
