Brewing up

I've got a black thermos original which came with 25 or 50 years guarantee can't remember which. Last winter I left it in the van overnight several times on cold nights after filling it that morning and the tea was still hot lunchtime the next day. Cost about 50 quid from amazon but came with a soup flask which keeps food red hot until lunch.

Had it three years looking a bit scratched and dinged  but still doing it's job.

Any idea what the flask is called?

I prefer the half litre stainless flasks. Any old make seems to do me.

Only ever use them for hot water rather than putting coffee, tea or milk in them.

If you need three brews a day then have three of them. Part filled flasks seem to cool a lot quicker than a full one.

You can get neoprene covers for them for pennies and they insulate fairly well to help out.

Hi guys

With autumn on the horizon the wether is about to get cold again so i need some suggestions on brew and soup flasks. I always end up buying shite flasks from Asda/Aldi that last me around 2-3 months that fail to keep things hot.

So, has anyone had/got decent tried and tested flasks (3 brews max) and something that would keep food warm for roughly 7 hours. Don't mind forking out this time so let me know what works and what you use. Not a fan of jetboils and the like, need it ready to go. Cheers

I hate to tell you but I've had a cheap 1lt stainless flask from Tesco for about 10years, it has been dropped dozens and dozens of times but still keeps the tea warm, it only cost a couple of quid.
