Brighton is a weird micro climate, the South Downs help too. But DED is in Brighton and it's killing the big elms slowly. Once infected it's a chop job.
Cut an elm down today in Huddersfield, only about 200mmdbh, the lads tell me when they get big they get infected.

The brit elms are difficult enough at times on their own.
