Just got back from London on what was a one, maybe two day job, so two good days money plus digs and food, I camped so saved money on agreed digs price. I've had good money off it, I was doing the job for a pump company that aren't cheap, the mantaince fella turned up, he doesn't work for the property management company, so I can only assume he's had a days money off it, The tanker company booked 8 hours to the job, I signed his ticket. That same job in Suffolk would have been no more than a grand, then it would have been a "touch".

It's a different world yet only 70 miles away. It does take an hour n half to travel 23 miles though.

Did you make any extras on The Heath last night?

Hertford for me dear chap, I try not to mix with the riff-raff from London.

You could easily make quadruple or double off a days work in London when I was down saaarf... horrible though, traffic , parking , pedestrians... constantly looking over your shoulder for thieves I’d rather enjoy my work than some of the stresses but I did have s few good days !

Not much difference in money than Surrey/Sussex.
But London is a shethole.
Very competitive pricing, long hours.
Yes it does take hours to go 5 miles.
Not worth it.
