What's your favourite climbing helmet?

i like the vertex vent, a friend bought the allveo but i thought it looked hotter as there was no air gaps on the crown of your head plus you cant clip the chinstrap up inside out of the way like you can on the vertex.

I hate the Vertex, doesn't sit right on my head at all, the Alveo is great though. Be careful with em though as they are easy to break if you throw them in the truck or that...

Pfanner protos, very comfortable and best of all the muffs are on the inside.

We are spoilt for choice these days ! I think it’s down to the individual but I found the protos offered very poor hearing protection, using any thing other than a topper was painful to the ears , stihl ground saws seemed alright but the screaming husky auto tunes no good.

You used to be able to get ear defender attachments for them, not sure about now.

I've recently moved to a Protos, yes expensive but internal defenders are great! Every helmet I've tried is stupid hot but then you're working flat out right so your going to get hot.

Hi viz vertex vent with visor and ear plugs in the warmer months...thats july in scotland ?
