Try something like this to polish the inside, attaches to drill. You will probably find something cheaper else where tho.

No probs :001_smile:, If you scroll down the page they do a chestnut finishing oil that gives it a better look than danish oil a nicer sheen to it.

 

I intend to check out that site thoroughly. Can you use chestnut oil on food things (salad bowls etc etc) like tung oil?

Tommer how much did you do with the chainsaw and how much of it by hand?

 

I carved the bulk out with the chainsaw, then a little bit of sanding with an orbital sander, and a couple of disc type sanding attachments on grinders, and an arbortech wheel, then a few hours by hand. It is far from perfect if you look closely, but that is why i dont do woodwork- i am too impatient.:blushing::001_tongue:
