Well as others have said it’s all about what you put in. Make sure it’s of good quality. Aspen is fine but husqvarna do there own pre mix now with the XP oil which is the best oil for these engines. Don’t let it tick over for long periods either but other than that just use it. There is no need to cut rings with it thinking your tuning it, it makes no difference just put it to work. 

 

The 550 is my favourite saw out of the whole range, it’s a belter!
