Landy reloved

Feck all happening in this section so I am going to bore you all shitless with a bit of a landy refurb. Our old 90 has been neglected and for the last three years only used for dragging a roller and some chain harrows about the farm . Sort of forgotten about it but the engine despite showing the lions share of 300k miles is on the button and a good runner ,I rebuilt the gearbox a few years ago and fitted a new clutch so mechanically its all good. The rear cross member was a bit crispy and had been patched a few times but other than that its sound.

Anyway its having a bit of a refurb and going back on the road, worth nothing as it is really so may as well make it roadworthy.

Looking sad

Lifted the rear body tub off because Mick Dundee wont grovel around underneath cars. Rear cross member has lost its newness.

Nifty new rear crossmember comes with enough chassis extension to cut out all the rust in one hit , not bad for £135 :thumbup1:

Rubbers look a bit perished so may fit one of those polybush kits. Anyone here got any recomendations?

Ive fitted Super-pro bushes recently to my defender as I wanted something softer than the standard polybush. I havn't had much luck with the current OEM/ genuine replacements available (only got 12 months out of the last front radius arm bushes).

Keith Gott has a decent discount if you are able to get over to them.

thanks,
