Ok so after 20 plus years without one I am getting the urge to spend. I have always used a band saw as most of my cutting was for turning, now getting the need for a compact but accurate saw bench. So many of the reviews for 10" saws are pretty derogatory on build quality and accuracy I am at a loss where to start.
Space is limited, but I would rather have a bigger footprint than a small saw which does not do the job. I like to hear from users rather than new purchase reviews, I am open to any suggestions as I would rather get this right first time.

So as luck would have it I fell on one of these, fully loaded with minimal hobby use. I am a fan of Scheppach and it ticked all the boxes, except maybe the space required. Palleted delivery this week while the SWMBO is at work, just need something to hide it under. Lol

"Oh that old thing! I've had it for years, tucked away in the corner." :D

You've either taken a bump to the head or you know the boss will never read this.

That's why I love having my workshop away from my house on an industrial estate. My wife doesn't have a clue what I have and when I got it. Think she has only been in the workshop 3 times in 7 or 8 years. That's the way I like it as well!

Ok all went well, delivered, mostly assembled before she arrived home from work, judicious use of a blanket ensured secrecy..... However, when I went out to eventually give it a test run aaaaaaargh nothing!!!!! No power to the motor, I have checked the obvious fuses, plugs, cables etc. all appear fine, so, any suggestions before I have to call a sparky. I have looked through the instructions which are of no help, just contact your dealer blah blah! No mention of a reset switch so I am hoping it is something simple to do with moving and rehoming.

Or is the saw in "stealth" mode!!!!!

May well have some safety cut offs. Any sliding guards that might have a micro switch on them?  Presume it's not something as simple as an off button that needs pulling out to reset?

I was unable to find anything in the instructions or limited info on the wonderweb about resets or safety features, just the usual NVR switch. I will have a poke in the innards tonight. nice saw though. Quiet. Lol.
