Been using it all day today and love it:thumbup1:

Much easier, might mess with the hitch a bit, but seems ok now that I put an extra turn on it.

Used my new rope today too, new rope and hitch cord makes it a little slippy:lol:

Cheers to everyone for their help:001_smile:

I love it when hauling up a big saw and hanging off the hc (not when cutting tho) that it weighs hardly anything :thumbup1:

stop messing about and thrust up like a man! its too good a workout to miss out on, six packs all round to the old school!

gear junkies! lol

six pack plus oversized, overused muscles in one side leading to further overdeveloping of muscles leading to strain in one side, leading to possible trapped nerves and various other complications around the spine and neck area.

Liking it, reckon I'll go back to my old school hitches. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorro, but some day and for the rest of my life...

Then again maybe I won't. :001_tt2:

totally agree i have body problems mainly due to using a prussick for too long

wish new gadgets had been out when i started

not bothered what system folk use but i would advise anyone doing regular tree work to look at alternatives to basic prussick after there first year

any pull down the centre with auto lock off is better

personally not the biggest fan of vt hitchclimber setup but ergonomically better for you:thumbup:

ask most guys after a couple of years to go back to a prussick and they will not be happy bunny,s

good advice. Everyone should know old school techniques and each to their own. You never know when one of those techniques might bail you out. If there is a smarter, more efficient way of doing a task then i will use it if I can.

i think yule(!) find its not a new knot or system, its just a new pulley!, its not a bad system at all, but its best used once uv got your anchor point and your working around the tree. its best to have some1 belay you when thrusting up. its probably not the best system, but its certainly not the worst! its just a case of try it and see!!
